***Special Guest: Born March 1, 1952, Steven Barnes has pursued a unique dual career. On the one hand, he is an award-winning, best-selling science fiction and mystery novelist, with over three million published words in print. He has won, or been nominated for Cable Ace, Endeavor, Nebula, Hugo, and Image awards. His “A Stitch In Time” episode of The Outer Limits won an Emmy.
***On the other hand, he has also studied and created a unique body of personal improvement technologies. With a background as a yoga instructor, fourth degree black belt, Eriksonian hypnotist and Circular Strength Training instructor, apprenticed to the Sweet Medicine Sundance path and a devotee of guru Sri Chinmoy, Steven has developed somatic-based techniques of spiritual evolution, applied Joseph Campbell’s “Hero’s Journey” pattern to personal evolution (“LifeWriting”), lectured on creativity and human myth at the Smithsonian Institute, UCLA, Seattle University, Mensa, and Pasadena JPL.
***His specialty is a combination of stress/anger/fear management, teaching clients and students to “un-knot” their fight or flight response to access their full human energy. His “Mastering F.E.A.R.” program has successful dealt with writer’s block, phobias, anxiety, anger problems, persistent guilt and trauma from sexual abuse.
***He lives in Southern California with his wife Tananarive and son Jason.

COMMUNITY PERCUSSION ENS
Bruce Anderson is inviting you to come be a part of the PPCC Percussion Ensemble. We rehearse Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 7pm. All playing levels accepted. Ages high school and up. All instruments provided. We will learn contemporary percussion ensemble music to perform.
